It’s 2011 on Earth where I am now. Almost 2012. That’s almost a 200 year difference. Humanity can accomplish quite a bit in two centuries.
What’s it like? It’s hard to say, I’ve never had to explain it before. It’s cleaner. Everything is a little more sleek and beautiful. There are ads everywhere, and most of them know you by name. Flying cars, star ships, pirates, criminals… the technology is different. But humanity? Humanity stays the same.
“I can only hope that all of that progress is good…” In fact, Lylat was lucky to have turned out so well. Although, the way she’s describing her home, it seems like there’s quite a few similarities.
I wonder if Earth’ll look anything like Corneria? “Now I’m really interested in going to, uh, New Earth. It sounds kinda like home—the planet I’m from, the buildings’re so tall you can’t tell them apart from the sky, and I think I remember going to one city somewhere in the north where different sections of the city were sort of…layers?”

“The roads are elevated, and there’s lots and lots of plant life all over the planet, and the water’s way cleaner than here…” He seems to really enjoy talking about his home. “What kind of fuel source d’you use?” I’ll have to remember all this so I can tell Slippy about it. He’d be foaming at the mouth over hearing about foreign technology.
I know what you mean. It’s hard to tell sometimes.
It does sound similar, and I’d be happy to show it to you. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell I’m stuck here. I didn’t come to this world by choice, it just happened. The most I can hope for is a one-way trip back.
We use an isotope of Helium called Helium-3. It’s used in nuclear fusion reactors that power the better part of the galaxy.
